African music is so hot right now even musicians from Nigeria are becoming more known worldwide or should I say in the U.S. You are starting to see more American artists collaborating with these stars such as Kanye West with Nigerian artist D"Banj, Rick Ross with P Square and so much more! But what is more interesting about the fusing of the two is the fashions coming together.
A new Nigerian artist named Yemi Alade just came on the scene with fresh and vibrant African/Nigerian wear showing off the beautiful styles. Her video of the song "Johnny" is mixed with comedy and drama with a twisted love story. While watching her music videos pay attention to each Ankara outfit her and the backup actresses/dancers are wearing. Fine! Fit! and Fun! Love it Love it Love it! Goes to show that music and fashion go well hand in hand.
Her music video for "Tangerine" has her wearing a dramatic Ankara suit and skirt with a very high slit. Fabulous!

Browsing the web for colorful Ankara?
I find that looking for the perfect African pattern clothing with a nice touch to it and the colors not fading is hard.
The ones that are found in online picture searches do not seem to be found in any stores or anywhere online for purchase
